Good Eats

Just a list of some things I have been eating lately! Maybe it will help some of you out.

  • Deli slices of turkey and chicken - these are very low in calories as well as fat. A healthy way to get that protein your body needs.
  • Baby carrots - what a great snack.
  • Apples - again a great snack, also a good fat burner.
  • Cottage cheese - fairly low on calories and fat, and it fills me up!
  • Cucumbers - I like to eat the baby ones as little snacks.
  • Fat free yogurts, 60 calories. Great afternoon snack, or even good with lunch!

Also here is a recipe for a pretty healthy Banana shake for when you get that sweet tooth craving, or on a hot day (it has been hot here in California) when ice cream sounds delish.

Ingredients:
1 Large Banana, sliced and frozen.
1 tsp of Splenda - I just use a packet.
1 cup of skim milk.
A splash of vanilla, maybe a 1/4 tsp.

Combine all ingredients in the blender, blend, and enjoy. It really is that simple, and very tasty. This recipe makes two servings. The banana only takes a few hours to become frozen, I always un-peal it first.

Well...

I have been very depressed the last few weeks, thought that is no reason to neglect this blog like I have done so. I also have fell very short of my weight goals for this month and have indeed stepped my shit up these past few days. I am minus 2 lbs, so 168lbs. Which is fine, but I really need to work out. I am also worried about my health, I want to be healthy more than anything. I want a strong heart, I want strong lungs. My mother is very much overweight and this causing me great anxiety, I have awful anxiety as is, but the fact that she is over 100lbs overweight frightens me constantly. I want her to be around when I am getting married, and maybe even have kids, I want her to be around for everything god willing.

Anyway, I promise more updates, at least 2 a week, and I promise (myself) I am stepping up now, whether or not I am feeling blue. I smoked some cigarettes the other day, four, and it made me feel better, but I know I can't start giving into that again.

Also, thank you for the comment on my last post it was very sweet and I just saw it. It made me feel a lot better :)

Progress Pictures: Month I, The "Before" Pictures.

Wow, these are actually hard to look at and I am a little surprised I am sharing them with you. My body has changed drastically this past year, those green underwear there - they fit me last winter! I have much much more cellulite now and my thighs have added plenty of inches, my hips though... those are defiantly the most notable (for me), along with my ever growing gut.

And there you have it, as a form of motivation I think I will post a "progress picture" every month to catalog my weight loss. I think once I reach my goal the only thing I am going to miss is my boobs haha, they went up slightly but I wasn't working with much before haha.

The new year.

My diet has started, somewhat. I actually managed NOT to gain any weight over the holidays, I actually lost 3lbs! While that is not the most impressive amount lost, it's something! I haven't started working out but I plan to start tonight, and I am thinking pilates and jogging for now. Maybe jog for 30 minutes, this week, and gradually move it up. I have been watching what I eat, and I am very proud of myself. I by no means starve myself and do give into my chocolate cravings (love). Another thing I am proud of... I have stayed sober! Very happy about that and it seems like the longer I have been the more motivated I am to stay sober. I plan on posting some pictures later on as well, I guess it is fair to say that this blog had officially begun! Hello new year!
