Just a list of some things I have been eating lately! Maybe it will help some of you out.
- Deli slices of turkey and chicken - these are very low in calories as well as fat. A healthy way to get that protein your body needs.
- Baby carrots - what a great snack.
- Apples - again a great snack, also a good fat burner.
- Cottage cheese - fairly low on calories and fat, and it fills me up!
- Cucumbers - I like to eat the baby ones as little snacks.
- Fat free yogurts, 60 calories. Great afternoon snack, or even good with lunch!
Also here is a recipe for a pretty healthy Banana shake for when you get that sweet tooth craving, or on a hot day (it has been hot here in California) when ice cream sounds delish.
Ingredients:
1 Large Banana, sliced and frozen.
1 tsp of Splenda - I just use a packet.
1 cup of skim milk.
A splash of vanilla, maybe a 1/4 tsp.
Combine all ingredients in the blender, blend, and enjoy. It really is that simple, and very tasty. This recipe makes two servings. The banana only takes a few hours to become frozen, I always un-peal it first.
